Day 1 Windhoek, Namibia
Arrive in Windhoek, Namibia, and transfer to your relaxing luxury lodge, set on a private wildlife reserve in the countryside surrounding Windhoek.

Day 2 Ongava Private Game ReserveThis morning, Visit the wildlife sanctuary set on the private reserve. Go behind the scenes with the caretakers for an intimate view of the workings of the sanctuary. The sanctuary treats wild animals such as rhino and elephant, with the goal of releasing them back into the wild once healed. Enjoy lunch, and then fly by private charter to Ongava Private Game Reserve, an exclusive game-viewing destination bordering Etosha National Park. Start exploring the private reserve to view the astonishing variety of life found in this spectacular environment during an afternoon game drive. Be on the lookout for lion, black and white rhino, elephant, giraffe and hundreds of species of birds. Return to your intimate safari camp perched on the crest of a hill overlooking a watering hole visited by local wildlife.

Day 3 Ongava Private Game ReserveExplore the Okaukuejo area of Etosha National Park on a game drive in an open 4x4 safari vehicle, tracking the lions, elephant, cheetah, gemsbok, springbok and hartebeest that frequent the park’s many watering holes. After nightfall, set out on a nocturnal game drive or walk as the reserve’s predators amble out to hunt.

Day 4 Purros ConservancyAfter breakfast, board a private flight to your next lodge, located in the Purros Conservancy, which borders the infamous Skeleton Coast. Arrive in the afternoon with time to relax at your tranquil lodge or partake in a guided nature drive or walk. This region, often described as one of the last truly wild areas in the northwest of Namibia, is unique in all the world for its combination of African animals living together in a desert environment, including elephant, black rhino, lion and more.

Day 5 Purros ConservancyToday, head out to meet members of the last nomadic tribe of Namibia, the Himba. Search for a local settlement of these semi-nomadic people, which may take a while, as they sometimes move location with no notice. Revel in this authentic opportunity to learn about the customs and traditions of this proud nation, mingling with tribal members sporting ochre-red braided hair and costumes of hides and beads, and gaining insight into their beliefs, way of life and everyday routine. Afterward, enjoy a scenic drive back to the lodge and stop for a stunning sunset over the picturesque landscape.

Day 6 Purros ConservancyHead out on scenic drives through stunning wilderness panoramas far off the beaten track that are simultaneously inspiring and inhospitable. Day 7 SwakopmundThis morning, board a private charter flight to the coastal town of Swakopmund for a day at leisure. This former German colonial town of seaside promenades, half-timbered homes and wind-swept beaches retains much of its Bavarian ambience. Keep a lookout for playful dolphin who frequent the wild Atlantic waters just off the coast.

Day 8 SossusvleiFly by private charter between Swakopmund and Sossusvlei, following a scenic route south along the coast and over the great Namib Sand Sea, where you will see deserted mines, shipwrecks and seal colonies. Upon landing, devote the remainder of the day at leisure at your luxurious desert lodge perched on the edge of a rocky escarpment among the mountains and sand dunes of the timeless Namib Desert.

Day 9 SossusvleiExperience Sossusvlei, from its clay pan that rarely fills with water to its magnificent terra cotta sand dunes that rise nearly 1,000 feet into the blue sky. Witness the stunning bands of amber, copper and vermillion cutting through the arid desert as you set out early this morning on a guided nature drive to the famous dunes along the Tsauchab River. Explore other features of the starkly beautiful Namib Desert as well, including meandering streams and craggy outcrops. After an opportunity to climb "Big Daddy" — the tallest of the dunes — return to your lodge for an afternoon at leisure.
